Elevate your music game with this looping technique is all about how to use a looper
How To Record a Track
Check your inputs and outputs. Your looper may have some lights that show what is happening. Mine shows “red” for recording and “green” for playback. Both are lit for overdubbing. Overdubbing is playing over a previously recorded track.
Follow these steps to record
- Tap the pedal on beat one to start recording.
- When finished, tap the pedal again on beat one for play mode.
- Tap the pedal again for record mode.
- Tap the pedal again for play mode – keep track of loop length.
Need to delete what you just recorded?
It can take several tries to get what you want to record to sound like it’s ready to record. It’s easy to make a mistake so it’s a good idea to know how to delete your mistakes. You can Elevate your music game with this looping technique.
To remove the last recorded track, press and hold the pedal. Lights will blink indicating deletion is occurring.
- After re-recording what you deleted, press and hold the pedal.
- Want to save your work?
- Double-tap the pedal to stop.
- Press the “Write” button to write the track. This saves your work.
- No “write” button? Check your manual for how to save your tracks.
